Just a Fall Recipe

Nothing about financial information here. It’s just that time of year again and I have a real affection for peanut brittle.

Here is the recipe I use.
2 c. Sugar
0.5 c. Water
1 tbsp butter
1 c. Corn syrup
2.5 c. Raw peanuts
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda

Cook sugar, syrup and water until it will spin a thread then add the peanuts. Cook until brown and you hear the pop. Add butter, vanilla, salt and soda. Stir thoroughly and pour out. I like to use pie pans. Let cool and break into pieces.

If you want to get fancy you can use pecans or drizzle it with melted chocolate. I like mine the old fashioned way.
